The City of St. Paul recently passed a new ordinance creating a Fire Safety Certificate of Ocupancy Program for all rental properties. Now even single family rentals and duplexes (excluding owner occupied) must pass an Fire Safety Inspection and be licensed by the city. The ordinances become effective March 1, 2007.
